Historical castle near Milan in the centre of Galliate, located at a few kilometres from Milan and the Malpensa airport, it was built from 1476 onwards based on a former fortress of the Visconti family, thanks to Galeazzo Maria Sforza. The construction work was stopped and resumed only in 1496, by the hand of Ludovico il Moro, who made the fortress into a comfortable hunting residence. In 1532, it became a fief of the branch Caravaggio Sforza, undergoing several transformations during the seventeenth century, but they did not change the fundamental structures. After remaining in a state of deterioration from the late eighteenth, in 1878 it was divided between multiple owners and they began the restoration works, the last of which in 1980 executed by the present owner. It consists of two private units that can be connected.
